Flexible PTO

We offer a Flexible PTO policy to foster a work environment that encourages us to take time off to rest and recharge responsibly.

Since employees do not accrue PTO days, DK does not payout or compensate for “unused” PTO time when one’s employment is terminated. On average, a DK employee takes 3 weeks per year, in addition to our paid holidays.

Your PTO Checklist

  • Keep us informed– please request approval from your manager at least 2-weeks in advance for PTO.
  • Send a calendar item to team@digitalknack.com to inform your colleagues when you will be taking PTO.
  • If you have a planned vacation, coordinate with key parties to have coverage for any of your responsibilities.
  • Set Out of Office with a point of contact across all key platforms (ie: email, LinkedIn).
  • Update Slack Status.
  • Close out with teammates you have ongoing work with (make clear where your work is at, and what you need from team).
  • Inform your manager if you need to be out unexpectedly, are sick, or need to care for a spouse or dependent.

Bereavement

Bereavement leave is time off of work given to DK employees after the death of a family member or a loved one. This may include (but is not limited to) the loss of a spouse or domestic partner, child(ren) – including miscarriage(s), parent(s), sibling(s), or other relatives.

Parental Leave

Regarding pay during family leave, we will always follow legal guidelines where they exist. In counties or states where paid family leave isn’t mandatory, we will provide paid leave which includes paternity leave, maternity leave, adoption leave, and any other leave that parents might need.
